there can be peptic ulcer disease which is an ulcer of an area of the gastrointestinal tract that is usually acidic and thus extremely painful. there is also Lactose intolerance which is the inability to metabolize lactose. one more can be Coeliac disease which is an autoimmune disorder of the small intestine that occurs in genetically predisposed people of all ages from middle infancy onward.

  2. Pain is the body’s way of signaling that something is going on. Stomach pain alerts us to something that’s happening inside us that we might not know about otherwise. Some reasons for stomach pain are obvious — like when someone gets hit in the gut or eats spoiled macaroni salad. Often, though, belly pain might be hard to figure out. With so many organs in the abdomen, different problems can have similar symptoms

You can get a stomach ache from stress, eating too much food or simply by just throwing up. You get it from the flu and being lactose intolerance. There are many types of stomach aches. Some can make you produce too much acid. Others can be harmful. But this is not disease unless under very much pain. If so you should visit a doctor. You can take mediation for this like, Antiacid tablets and other medication. Some people can have a poor digestive system. If you ate food that was cold or not well cooked can give you a stomach ache. Other wise it occurs temporarily and does not last long.

Generally a stomach ache is caused from muscle spasms. You need to work out what you can associate the pain with? Is it similar to doing a 100 sit ups, kinda pain? If so then something like Buscopan (available over the counter at chemists) will fix you up in no time. This is the same drug that hospitals administer. If however, the pain is sharper or more acute, it could be a ulcer. Ulcers or other stomach upset pains are caused by the gastric acids in your tummy. This acid is extremely corrosive, and if you have ever chucked on a car and left it there, it will even eat away the paint! Ulcers can lead to serious problems, so you will need to see a doctor if the pain persists. In the mean time try using some Mylanta or other similar liquid medications to calm your stomach.

  5. There are many different symtoms for a stomach ache like a heart burn. Which is a burning in the esophagus below the chest bone. Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach lining and most frequently results pain in the upper abdomen. GERD is often followed by a heartburn, difficult swallowing after eating a big meal or at night before eating minutes before you go to bed.

Here are some of the things that cause tummy troubles:

    Infection
When bacteria or viruses get into a person’s digestive system, the body reacts by trying to rid itself of the infection — often through vomiting or diarrhea.

Bacterial infections cause what we call “food poisoning.” Bacteria are also responsible for other conditions that may give a person belly pain, such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, strep throat, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), or the rare condition toxic shock syndrome.
Viruses, another type of infection, are behind what we call “stomach flu.” Both bacteria and viruses can be easily passed from person to person. The good news is you can often avoid them simply by washing your hands properly and frequently and not sharing cups, straws, or utensils with other people.
    Constipation
Being constipated is one of the most common reasons for frequent belly pain. People usually become constipated because their diet doesn’t include enough fluids and fiber.

When you get a stomach ache, it is caused by muscle spasms happening in your stomach. Here are a couple types of stomach aches and what is happening inside you when you have them. If you have an ulcer, then your stomach ache will feel like very sharp pains in your stomach (so very sharp muscle spasms). However, if you are feeling like you are going to be sick, it is because your stomach is uneasy or is unable to ajust to a certain thing you take into your body.

  9. Kaitlynn Harvey Says:

Heart burn is one symptom for a stomach ache. Which is a burning in the esophagus below the chest bone. Stomach aches are caused by muscle spasms. Being constipated can also cause harsh pains in your stomach too. If the pain is really sharp you could have an ulcer.

  10. Tylan Thompson core4 Says:

Here are some reasons for a stomach ache: constipation, eating certain foods, or feeling nervous about something. Often, viruses or bacteria cause stomach aches. When these tiny critters get into your stomach, they make chemicals that upset your stomach. The chemicals can cause cramping, bloating, or nausea and make your stomach hurt.

Sometimes the nerves in the stomach and intestine tell your brain to get rid of whatever is causing the problem. Your brain then sends a message to vomit.
